SNAG Clinics

Saturdays: Currently Unavailable
Sundays: Currently Unavailable
Cost: $20/session
Ages: 5-7

Our “SNAG Clinics” are offered for ages 5 to 7 years old. If the junior has never played golf before it is a great way to get started.  We will have the kids putting, chipping, and swinging in no time.

SNAG (Starting New At Golf) has offered up a curriculum that is hard to beat. The clinics will run along side our “Beginner Clinics” with a maximum class size of (4) students.  We will teach the kids the proper way to grip and swing the club.  They also learn the patience necessary to play the game of golf.

We ask that all of our beginners start at this point until the instructional staff feels they are ready for the “Beginner Clinics.”

Beginner Clinics

Saturdays: (4 to 5 pm)
Sundays: (11 am to 12 pm)
Cost: $20 per session
Ages: 7-12

We will be keeping our ration at 4:1.  The clinics are based on a monthly curriculum that covers everything from putting, shortgame, and full swing to fitness, rules, and etiquette.

The kids will learn the swing basics such as grip, stance, posture, and ball position.  They will also learn the proper fundamentals associated with chipping and putting the golf ball. We will have them practicing short game shots like the bump and run and send them home with drills to practice their long and short putting.  The juniors also have a great time competing for prizes and our students look to prgress to the next level of classes through an assessment.  The putting green is also a great place to learn a lot of the etiquette that goes along with the game.

We charge either a one time clinic fee of $20.  Instruction taught by certified PGA Professionals in an excellent environment for the kids.

The Spring PGA Junior League is for those players wishing to gain tournament experience in a fun environment. These kids are ages 8 through 13 and we have 6 to 10 players on each team. The San Diego City League consists of Torrey Pines Juniors, Mission Bay Juniors, as well as Coronado Juniors. We will travel the league to various courses throughout the season. There will be an end of the season tournament to crown the San Diego City League Champion. The top players from each team will then be selected to an all-star team. This team will compete in August and September against all of the other leagues. If the all-stars make it out of the region they will be able to compete for a PGA Junior League National Championship.

The Summer PGA Junior League is offered to kids 17 and under. We also play these events at several different San Diego golf courses.  There are brand new tournament players as well as experienced kids just looking to get out and play some golf. The teams consist of 4 to 6 players and it a great way to spend your summer afternoon with friends.

We will also offer a Fall “Middle School” Junior League.  The teams consist of 6 players in grades 6th through 8th. The kids participate in several team formats including Stableford, Fourball, Pinehurst, Match Play and Stroke Play. This league will also travel throughout the county to various San Diego golf courses.

The cost of the season varies and will include greens fees, tournament fees, range fees, and prize points.  We will have a “Prize Points” system where the kids can earn rewards towards golf merchandise as well as future clinics and lessons.
